circle area calculator

Suppose, you have a circle’s radius or diameter. You need to find the area of the circle. What is the formula? The formula is

Area = πr2. Here, r = the radius of a circle.

If you haven’t got the radius, but you have the diameter. Still the formula is same. All you need is the radius. Radius is half of the diameter. So r = d/2. Here d = diameter.

So the formula is,

Area = π(d/2)2.

Again, if you have the circumference of a circle. The source formula is still the same. You need to find the radius and then apply to the formula of area= πr2.

We know, Circumference of a circle is 2πr.

Circumference = 2πr

Or, πr= Circumference / 2

Or, πr2 = Circumference × r /2

Again, it can be proved that,

Area = C2÷4π

Using ToolKib’s Circle’s Area Finder Tools, you can find the area using only one value. That can be the radius, diameter or the circumference of the circle.
