Batting Average Counter in Cricket

In Cricket, every batsman who have played cricket and got out at least one time, he has a batting average. Many people do mistake in calculating batting average of a batsman. They make the mistake in calculating because they think that average is equals to Runs scored divided by innings the batsman played. But it is wrong.

Batting average is being measured by dividing total scored runs in all the innings batsman by the number of times he got out.

For example, number 1 allrounder of all formats, Shakib Al Hasan played 8 matches in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, England. Shakib Al Hasan scored 606 runs where his highest run was unbeaten 124. Strike Rate was 69.03 (Try our Strike Rate counter. He got out 7 times. Therefore, Shakib Al Hasan’s average was 606/7 = 86.57.

So the Formula is Batting Average = Runs Scored/Number of times batsman got out.
